Recurring Billing Made Easy
The newest feature of the payment gateway , Automated Recurring Billing (ARB) enables merchants to provide their customers with a completely automated, scheduled recurring billing option. Authorize.Net is pleased to provide the ARB service as a result of feedback and suggestions from our valued merchants.
The merchant creates an ARB “subscription” using a subscription form (similar to the Virtual Terminal) in the Merchant Interface. It’s as easy as providing the customer’s payment information, billing amount, and a specific billing interval and duration. ARB does the rest, generating recurring transactions on schedule as specified by the subscription.
Three methods for merchants to create automated billing subscriptions:
- Entering subscription information into a form (similar to the Virtual Terminal)
- Creating a new subscription based on a previous eligible transaction
- Uploading a file containing several subscription records to the payment gateway
Highlights of the ARB service include:
Ability to edit subscription information, including duration
View uploaded subscription files
Search feature specifically for locating subscriptions
Drill-down to subscription detail
Notification emails to alert the merchant about the status of a subscription (e.g., subscription is suspended, completed or terminated; the credit card used for a subscription is due to expire, etc.)
